Madrid Gathering Promotes Dialogue and Diversity

A new gathering in Madrid welcomed faith communities, cultural voices and social actors to celebrate the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The event, organised by Fundación Mejora at the national headquarters of Scientology in Madrid, Human Rights focused on education, prevention and dialogue as tools against prejudice. The dialogue included a representative of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, and Denise González. Speakers shared reflections from faith, culture and public service on how open dialogue can strengthen coexistence.

During the event, participants explored themes such as religious freedom, intercultural coexistence and human dignity. Fundación Mejora linked the initiative with Scientology’s interest in education, prevention and civic responsibility. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, said that cultural and religious diversity can become a strength when rooted in respect for human rights.
